Only drama remaining in the American League is in the Central Division where Kansas City is still alive for the divisional title trailing Detroit by 1 game with two games to play.

TAMPA BAY RAYS AT CLEVELAND INDIANS:

Hard to see how the Indians get ‘up’ for this game with their playoff chances shot. Tampa Bay not much either but starting pitcher Alex Colome has looked excellent in his limited starting appearances. Typically, guys trying to pitch their way into a Major League gig are a good play this time of year and especially against a team without much to play for.

MINNESOTA TWINS AT DETROIT TIGERS:

The AL Central race got *very* interesting last night thanks to Minnesota’s rout of the Tigers. Can they do it again? Why not? Twins’ starter Ricky Nolasco faced the Tigers at home last week going 8 innings and giving up 5 hits and no earned runs. Minny has a small loss (-3.3 units) against lefthanders for the year but decent offensive numbers.

KANSAS CITY ROYALS AT CHICAGO WHITE SOX:

John Danks has been decent in his recent starts but not as good as future star Danny Duffy. Duffy has been a stone cold killer during the Royals playoff run with a 0.71 L3 ERA but somehow the Royals managed to lose two of his last three starts. KC has dominated the White Sox in Chicago winning 20 of the last 27 head to head including 7 of 8 this year.

BET KANSAS CITY ROYALS -165 OVER CHICAGO WHITE SOX

OAKLAND A’S AT TEXAS RANGERS:

A’s won last night but Texas won’t be an easy out. They’ve got the inside track to a wild card berth which they really don’t deserve after their late season nosedive. Rangers have won 12 of 14 while the A’s have lost 7 of 11. A’s have been in terrible form since late July/early August and enter this game on a 4-8 run.

LOS ANGELES ANGELS AT SEATTLE MARINERS:

Angels don’t really have anything to play for unless they’d rather have a nearly worthless Oakland team in the playoffs instead of a plucky Mariners’ team with one of the nastiest pitchers in baseball at the top of their rotation.
